Different plans have different coverages. We at Animalia believe in providingyour pet with the most comprehensive coverage out there. The whole shebang, aswe like to call it. With Animalia, there’s no such thing as basic coverage. Ourall-in-one premium coverage is the crème de la crème; the pick of the litter.  That means we’ll cover your vet bills following injuries, accidents andillnesses, including diagnostics, procedures and treatments required – lab work,imaging scans, hospitalization, emergency care, surgeries, complete sick visits& exam fees, specialist visits, cancer treatments, prescription meds… But that’snot all. Also included in your coverage (no extra charge) are tele-vet services(as many as you need), Behavioral therapy (with real trainers and behavioristsand even online), alternative care (for when conventional medicine is just notenough), prescription food & dietary supplements* and even orthodentictreatments. And if you’re looking for a more extensive dental coverage, you canalways choose our comprehensive dental care add-on.But that’s not all. Also included in your coverage, at no extra charge, aretele-vet services (as many as you need), behavioral therapy (with certifiedveterinary behaviorists and even online) and alternative care. Head-to-tail. It’s that simple. * Prescription food and supplements not included in Florida coverage.

What is a waiting period?

When it comes to pet insurance, your waiting period is important. That’s theamount of time you’ll need to wait before your coverage kicks in. Some planshave extended waiting periods of up to a year on specific illnesses. AtAnimalia, we don’t believe in waiting that long after enrollment. That’s why wehave only a 5-day waiting period*. Period. For illnesses too**. * Except for cruciate ligaments cases, where you’ll need to wait six months.However, if your pet is examined by a vet within 30 days of purchasing a policy,and the vet confirms they don’t have knee, hips or cruciate ligament issues, thewaiting period will be waived.** Except for cancer, where you’ll need to wait 30 days – unless you’re inFlorida, in which case the general 5-day waiting period will be in effect.

Why should I get pet insurance and not a savings account?

Certainly, both options have their sets of benefits and drawbacks, but whichoption truly is the best for you and your pet? In theory, putting a little awayeach month in anticipation of future Vet bills sounds quite logical. It reallydoes.   But let’s say you did manage to save $5,000 before your dog swallowed a rockduring one of your daily walks. The cheaper option would be abdominal X-rays andclose observation for 24-48 hours. Only $520. The risk? Potential internalinjury or intestinal obstruction. And then there’s the better option- endoscopicretrieval or surgical removal that will prevent life-threatening complicationsthat may occur if the object is left within the gastrointestinal tract.$1,500-$3,500.  And let’s say you go with the more expensive and better option. Good for you.But what if an emergency strikes again? And again? And again? When it comes toyour money, you’ll probably think twice. That’s the beauty of insurance. Itallows you to use our money instead of your money.   With pet insurance you can finally say: “Doc, do whatever it takes. I haveAnimalia”. No hesitation whatsoever.

Absolutely! We trust the Vet you trust. As long as your Vet is licensed toprovide Veterinary care in the state they operate in, choose the Vet you, andyour pet, are comfortable with. This applies to any licensed Specialist orEmergency Clinic as well.
